Lander Brewery Wins Gold Medals

April, 2004. Snake River Brewing of Lander was awarded a gold medal for their Rock Chuck Rye at the World Beer Cup in San Diego. There were 1,594 entries from 392 breweries in 40 countries judged by 93 judges from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czeck Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, UK,and the US.

Snake River Brewing has also received a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. This national competition is considered the most prestigious in the brewing world, and attracts over 1900 entries from Breweries nationwide. Snake River Brewing of Lander was given the top award in the Rye category beer style. The winning beer, Rock Chuck Rye, has a deep copper color and a rye malt taste.

Snake River Brewing Lander has been awarded two medals in both the Mountain Brewers Beer Festival in Idaho and Montana Brewers Association Beer Awards.

"We are thrilled to be winning these honors", stated head Brewer Paul Granthem. Snake River Brewing of Lander is a joint venture operation with the established Snake River Brewing in Jackson Hole, WY. The Jackson brewery has won numerous medals for its brews.
